Does stretching burn fat?
In most cases stretching does not burn fat.
It can however, help you burn fat indirectly.
Fat burning occurs in a low stress environment when you body is using fat for fuel instead of glucose. It is only likely that you'll burn significant calories with stretching if you are highly immobile and overweight.
In addition to this, stretching can lower the stress on your body, lowering cortisol and thus allowing you to burn fat easier.
